Alright, so I’m about a week behind on posting this…but I’ve been pretty motivated and inspired after our recent workshop! I became so wrapped up in taking photos and editing previous photos I had on hand, versus actually blogging about the event right away. Oops. Editing photos can be a time-warp, I swear! Our recent workshop was a blast! It was so refreshing and exciting to connect with people who LOVE photography. Here’s what one of our workshop attendees named Wendy (a wedding photographer herself) had to say...
read moreI am very excited to share some wonderful news! The planning of this event has been in the works for some time, but it’s finally here and ready to get underway! I’m teaming up with the one and only Slava Micic to host a full day Photoshop Workshop in London, Ontario. I met Slava back in 2003 at University (please do not do the math! Haha!), and over the years, our mutual appreciation for photography, the arts, and creativity has kept our friendship blossoming. I cannot wait to help her host this Workshop as she is...
read moreThey say good things come to those that wait. And, I must say – I agree with that statement! I waited, and waited, and waited some more when it came to redeeming my continuous accumulation of Air Miles. I figured I’d save them up for a trip at some point, or a crazy kitchen appliance that I would never end up using – or maybe redeem them for an endless amount of movie tickets. Instead, I just kept holding on to them, month after month, year after year. As my business has grown this past year, I realized that I needed...
read moreThings have been pretty hectic as of late. I like it that way, don’t get me wrong, but a girl needs her sleep – and by ‘girl’, I specifically mean me in this case. This weekend, I made sure to sleep in till noon (yay!) on Saturday. After waking up and looking at the clock with a big fat smile, I took it upon myself to make one of my favorite meals to eat – chocolate chip pancakes! What’s better than pancakes annnnd chocolate at 1pm in the...
read moreLate August, I attended the 2nd Annual Subtext Multi-Arts Festival in Scarborough’s vibrant Kingston-Galloway Orton Park neighbourhood. The festival is held under a six-lane traffic bridge and does a great job of engaging members of the community and artists through the celebration of contemporary urban art forms. It was really inspiring to see organically talented people do their thing so naturally. The urban space was transformed into a community amphitheatre that featured live music, dance performances, storytelling, and art...
read moreMy friend Manisay got married back in July of this year, and what a wedding it was! I was honoured to have been invited to witness this special day. The occasion was lovely from beginning to end – with a beeeautiful outdoor ceremony in the middle of a flower garden situated in downtown London, Ontario. It was a fusion wedding, and it was spectacular…much like how the bride looked! Thank you, Mani, for sharing a huge milestone of your life with me and your fellow guests. You were beyond gorgeous that day (but, really, how is...
read moreI’m really looking forward to the @Marketplace Conference, a full day event that includes breakfast and a chance to network with peers, social media experts, service providers, and many more. The Conference will feature presentations from high profile speakers in the social media scene including a keynote from Julie Howlett of LinkedIn Canada. The Conference will have a Vendor Village, an area where you can find great service providers in the social media space, including yours truly. Here’s a recent interview I did with Linda...
read moreWhen my childhood friend Nav called me and said “I need a LinkedIn photo, can you help?”, I was happy for two reasons – #1. She finally listened to me and signed up for a LinkedIn account (yes, Nav, you know I pestered you for a year or more! Haha!), and #2. I was honoured to capture her natural beauty. After our professional-focused photo shoot, we did a switch up and took some fun photos that I thought she could use for her new blog she started up recently. Pretty gal, huh? By the way, fellas, she’s single. ...
read moreMonths ago, my close friends and I attended a Trunk Show for Mulcair, a Montreal based fashion house. I realize I’m a little late on posting this, but I honestly have no idea where the time went! Either way, the evening consisted of us trying on the amazing couture that was on sale and checking out the next season’s line-up. We also enjoyed meeting Juliana Bennett, the mastermind designer behind it all, as well as her fiancé and business partner Jaffray Hill. Afterwards, the girls and I had a lovely sushi dinner. Retail therapy...
read moreMy family got together for my cousin’s wedding in Montreal a few weeks ago. As most of my family resides on the west coast of Canada, it was so nice to see some of my relatives after so long. We took advantage of the good food, the great shopping, and the hot spots the city had to offer. And, of course, I took advantage of the photo opportunities here, there, and everywhere! ...
